Three drafts of a programme note for Suite No. 3 for cello Op. 87. With a few minor changes, this was published in the 1972 Aldeburgh Festival Programme Book p.54 for the 1st performance, which was eventually cancelled. The note was used in the programme for the actual first performance on 21st Dec 1974 and as preface to the published score.
